What does it mean if I get an email from Honor Society?

An email from Honor Society® may introduce you to membership, share scholarship opportunities or provide an update about your account. An invitation is an opportunity to explore the resources available at HonorSociety.org. Receiving one does not automatically enroll you or create a charge.

Why did I receive an invitation?

Honor Society sends invitations to introduce prospective members to resources for education, career development and personal growth.

Invitations may relate to educational or professional interests, engagement with connected resources, referrals or publicly available information. The reason varies by recipient. For help understanding a particular message, contact Member Services with a copy of the invitation and the email address that received it.

What does the invitation mean?

It welcomes you to explore Honor Society’s membership community and decide how its resources fit your goals.

An invitation does not, by itself, establish a school nomination, academic ranking or scholarship award. Academic recognition levels and individual scholarships have their own published criteria.

Do I need to pay to join?

Honor Society membership is free. You can join and apply for scholarships for which you meet the requirements without purchasing a paid plan.

Honor Society Plus offers additional benefits through paid membership plans. If you choose Plus, review the included benefits, price and renewal terms before enrolling.

How do I verify an Honor Society email?

Start at HonorSociety.org, our official website.

  • Check the full sender address. Our published guidance identifies @honorsociety.org as an official email domain. A display name or logo alone does not authenticate a message.
  • Visit the website directly. Type honorsociety.org into your browser and use its account and support links.
  • Ask us to confirm the message. Send the sender address, subject line, date received and a copy or screenshot through our support form. Remove passwords, security codes and payment details.

What if I already have a membership?

Honor Society also sends account confirmations, service updates and information about scholarships and member resources. Read the message to see whether it concerns your account or introduces an opportunity you may wish to explore.

How can I stop receiving invitation emails?

Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or visit the Honor Society unsubscribe page.

Enter the address receiving the messages. If mail is forwarded from another account, use the original receiving address. Allow up to 10 business days for the change to reach all systems.

Current members may still receive essential account messages, such as password resets. Unsubscribing from email does not cancel a paid membership plan; use the membership cancellation instructions to stop future renewals.
